And we’re baking again!

Just a few years ago Andy and I were ballin/cooking together. Notice the wood burning grill behind me that I came up on–where I spent every night of my life except Wednesday. Back then I was a bit soft and needed a day off.

Our Pink Pie Bakery is back in operation with our Sugar Cream and Honeycrisp Apple pies! In a couple of weeks (wink wink) our award winning pork BBQ and grilled salmon will return! We’ve added a wood burning grill– my favorite way to cook, to handle our salmon..and many more grilled recipes to come!

We are currently getting in lots and lots of pumpkins and gourds!
And what to do about those pesky squirrels?! We have the solution! One of our growers with plenty of experience suggested an environmentally friendly repellant which we will have on hand this season.
We would love to spray your pumpkin :)

…or at least until the first week of November.

Our tomatoes come from a third generation family farm in Tennessee. We start the season in May and end normally the first week of November due to the frost—it comes later in Tennessee. In honor of our relationship with the family, we carry their tomatoes from start to finish. They take care of us at the beginning of the summer, and we take care of them through the summer, not dropping the relationship. When our Indiana tomatoes start to come in we carry both varieties.
We still have our “German Striped” heirloom variety as well as “Empire Beefsteak” and a yellow variety, “Lemon Boy”. We are told that the “Purple Cherokee” variety will be coming in October. This variety is close to my heart, as my great grandmother was Cherokee Native American. Got to keep it in the family, ya know. The Trail of Tears baby.
