1. Lohr’s Orchard
You will find Lohr’s Orchard in Harford County, Maryland and it is full of delicious apples for you to pick for yourself. This location is open daily and it is the perfect place to go apple picking with your friends and family.
There are plenty of different varieties of apples for you to choose from when you visit, and if you would like to know which ones are currently available, make sure to check their website before you visit.
Along with apple picking, you will also find some delicious family-pressed cider available to buy.
This cider has been pressed and created on-site for over 50 years, and it is some of the tastiest cider you will ever try!

2. Homestead Farm
Homestead Farm is another great location for you to pick apples at. You can pick them as early as mid-August and the season goes on until the end of October, so you will have plenty of time to visit for yourself.
Along with apple picking, Homestead farm also has many other fruits available, some of which include cherries, blueberries, peaches, blackberries, apples, and pumpkins.
The seasons vary for all of the fruits, apples included, so make sure you check their website before you visit.

3. Shaw Orchards
Shaw Orchards is open to the public for apple picking every Saturday during September and October.
They have many varieties of apples available to pick here, with each variety being available at different times during the season, so keep tabs on their website to see when your favorite apples are available.
Along with delicious apples, Shaw Orchards also offers a variety of other fruits during different seasons, some of which include strawberries, raspberries, pumpkins, cherries, blueberries, and apples.
You can also take part in hayrides through the orchards when you visit too!

4. M&C Vessey Farm
Located in Westover, M&C Vessy Farm has apple picking available during both the summer and fall months, but if you want to experience apple picking properly, you should definitely aim to go there during the fall!
You will find plenty of delicious apples available to pick when you visit, but the apples available do vary depending on what time you visit, so check their Facebook page to see which ones are currently available.
The farm is also located on the picturesque Pocomoke River in Westover, so make sure to check the river out while you are there.
Once you have finished picking, make sure you check out their freshly made apple cider! It is super tasty and super refreshing, and you won’t find any like it anywhere else.

5. Milburn Orchards
Milburn Orchards is located in Elkton, Maryland and you will find some incredible apples to pick here. You do have to register online before you visit, so make sure you check their website out to do so before you travel there!
You don’t have to bring your own containers when you go to Milburn Orchards because they will provide you with everything you need.
You will have a fantastic time picking apples here and it’s incredibly family-friendly, making it the perfect place to take your kids.
Along with being open in the fall for apple picking, Milburn Orchards is also temporarily open during Easter too.
At this time, you will be able to participate in lots of wonderful Easter activities, some of which include an outdoor easter egg hunt, breakfast with the Easter bunny, and even hayrides!

6. Catoctin Mountain Orchard
Located in Thurmont, Maryland, Catoctin Mountain Orchard is a stunning location that is a fantastic place to go when you want to immerse yourself in nature and get some apple picking done!
You will find over 10 varieties of apples that you can pick at Catoctin Mountain Orchard and you can visit every Saturday and Sunday in September and October.
You will have plenty of time to pick apples for yourself!
Along with apple picking, Catoctin Mountain Orchard is also home to various other fruits that you can pick throughout the year. Some of these fruits include peaches, plums, grapes, and more!

7. Butler’s Orchard
Butler’s Orchard can be found in Germantown, Maryland, and there are plenty of things for you to do when you visit.
Apple picking is of course the main attraction, but you can also enjoy lots of other activities, some of which include a pumpkin patch and a farm market!

Other activities available at Butler Orchard include animal petting, large play slides for the kids, and more! There is plenty for you to see and do at Butler’s Orchard and it makes for the perfect day out.
8. Waters Orchard
Like Butler’s Orchard, Waters Orchard can also be found in Germantown. This orchard has over 17 different types of apples for you to pick for yourself.

If you do visit Waters Orchard, make sure to check out their fresh apple cider. It’s incredibly refreshing and tastes amazing, and you are sure to love every sip!
You can also find a food truck on site on certain dates, which sells lots of delicious food to keep you warm in the cool, fall air.

9. Baugher’s Orchard & Farm
Found in Westminster, Baugher’s Orchard & Farm is easily one of the best orchards in all of Maryland!
The farm is open for the entire weekend and there are over 600 acres of fruits and vegetables, and there are plenty of activities for you to enjoy!
You will find plenty of delicious apples to choose from here, and their website will have all the relevant information about which apples are available at any given time!
This is the perfect place to go with your family when you want to spend the whole day out in nature.

10. Weber’s Cider Mill Farm
Located in Parkville, Weber’s Cider Mill Farm is another great place to go and pick some apples.
Apple picking season starts in September and goes on until November, so you will have plenty of time to go and pick some delicious apples for yourself!
Along with apple picking, Weber’s Cider Mill Farm is also home to some delicious, fresh cider, that you can enjoy on-site and take home with you!
Make sure to check out the bakery as well, which is home to some delicious treats, some of which include baked bread, pies, and ice cream.
