Hillcrest Orchards is home to a lot more activities besides apple picking as well. You can watch live music on site, you can ride a giant mountain slide and it is even home to the state’s only apple tree maze!

2. Penland’s Apple House

Penland’s Apple House actually operates in two locations, so you can go to whichever site is more convenient for you. One is located on Highway 515 near the Panorama Farm Market, and the other is on Highway 282 near Red Apple Barn. 

3. B.J. Reece Orchards

B.J. Reece Orchards is another apple-picking location that you can find in Ellijay, Georgia.

This orchard is one of the very best in the entire state, and it has a wonderful variety of apples for you to choose from, some of which include the Crimson Crisp and Rome Beauty. 

If you aren’t sure which apples you would like, then you will be able to go to the on-site apple house to taste them first! You can also watch the workers there make fried apple pies.

This establishment is also dog friendly, but just remember to keep them on their leash.

4. Mercier Orchards

Located in Blue Ridge, Georgia, Mercier Orchards has been around for over 70 years and it is currently in its fourth generation.

Along with apple picking and apple-related produce, there are also plenty of other things for you to take a look at and buy. Whether you want salad dressings, jams, or jellies you will find exactly what you need at Hillside Orchard. 

You can also take part in trains and hayrides here during the apple season, there is also a giant sandbox and play area that your children can enjoy. This is a great apple-picking location and one of the best in Georgia! 

9. Jaemor Farms

Jaemor Farms can be found in Alto, Georgia and it is home to more than just apples. Some of the other fruits it is well known for producing include watermelons, peaches, and pumpkins. 

This establishment has been family-owned since 1912 and it is a beloved apple-picking location for many in the state. Currently, you can only go picking on certain weekends, so make sure you check their website before you head there. 

Another selling point of Jaemor Farms is its rustic vibe and decor, which will really immerse you in the farming environment while you are there. 

10. Panorama Orchards

Found in Ellijay, Georgia, Panorama Orchards can be accessed just off highway 515- making it an incredibly convenient spot to visit.

There are over 20 varieties of apples for you to choose from at this location and there are plenty of homemade treats for you to enjoy when you get there. 

It’s a bit smaller than some of the other locations on this list, but it definitely deserves a place here because of how cozy and beautiful it is!

Aaron’s Apple House is another apple-picking location found in Ellijay. Like Panorama Orchards, it’s a bit smaller than some of the other places on this list, but it is a perfect place to visit if you are heading off on a longer trip. 

You can find a lovely selection of home-grown apples to choose from at Aaron’s Apple House, and you can also purchase fresh eggs and some other products here. If you do find yourself at Aaron’s Apple House, you can even go and visit the goats that live there! 

This apple-picking location is one of the smaller and cozier locations on this list, but it still deserves its own place on this list as one of the best apple-picking spots in all of Georgia!
