1. Solebury Orchards

Location: 3325 Creamery Rd, New Hope, PA 18938

You’ll find Solebury Orchards in the scenic heart of Bucks County. During the summer and fall you can come on down and pick your own apples, peaches, blueberries and more.

There are a staggering 31 varieties of apple available to pick, at various times throughout the season, which starts in August and doesn’t finish until November.

You can also buy some of the farm’s very own apple sauce and apple cider.

2. Weaver’s Orchard

Location: 40 Fruit Lane, Morgantown, PA, 19543

This wonderfully scenic farm nestled in the hills of Berks County offers pick-your-own produce from June through to October, with apples being available to pick from August through to early November.

And it’s not just apples available – you can also pick up raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, plums, apricots, peaches, nectarines, pears, pumpkins, cherries and quince.

3. Mt. Airy Orchards

Location: 522 East Mount Airy Road, Dillsburg PA 17019

Mt. Airy Orchards (previously known as Paulus Mt Airy Orchards) is a verified agri-tourism hot spot in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, with rows of trees of more than 150 acres.

They have over 25 varieties of apples for you and the family to pick, and 7 varieties of peaches as well. But that’s not all – they also have nectarines, plums, strawberries, blueberries, black raspberries, and blackberries too.

4. Soergel Orchards

Location: 2573 Brandt School Road, Wexford, PA 15090

Soergel Orchards is such a wonderful place – not only do they have apple picking, but there’s also a bakery, a wine shop, a garden center, and more.

The farm itself has been around since 1850, and is in several locations, consisting of 450 acres altogether.

You are free to bring the family and pick your own apples between the months of June and October. And there are a staggering 33 different varieties available to take your pick from.

And that’s not all – you can also pick your own blueberries, pumpkins and strawberries.

While there, why not check out Arsenal Cider – a taproom with 9 varieties of hard cider, including Soergel’s own apple cider.

5. Simmons Farm

Location: Simmons Farm, 170 Simmons Rd, MC Murray, PA 15317-3627

Simmons farm is fun and family friendly. They host a variety of different events including hayrides, field trips, camping, birthdays, farmers markets, an Easter egg hunt, fishing and more.

Their pick-your-own offering includes not only apples, but also strawberries, peaches, and flowers as well.

They grow a nice range of apples, including pink lady, gala, paula red, fuji, golden delicious, honey crisps, empire, idared, jonagold, red delicious, granny smith, molly delicious, and golden supreme.

6. Grim’s Orchard & Family Farms

Location: 9875 Schantz Road, Breinigsville, PA 18031

Grim’s Orchard is a wonderful spot that hosts various family activities from spring through to fall, including line dancing events.

They have several items available for pick-your-own, including fruits such as apples, pumpkins, strawberries, and cherries, and also potatoes and vegetables as well.

Their apple varieties include premier honey crisp, pixie crunch, honey crisp, daybreak fuji, crimson crisp, ambrosia, hampshire mac, granny smith, rosalee, cameo, wine crisp, maslin pink lady, and brak fuji.

The apple picking season runs from August through October. No reservations are required.

7. Linvilla Orchards

Location: 137 W Knowlton Rd, Media, PA 19063

Well located about 30 minutes south of Philadelphia and 20 minutes north of Wilmington, DE, Linvilla orchards is a great place to take the family – there are events throughout the year, such as indoor mini golf, hayrides, meeting barnyard animals, a playground, fishing, face painting, train rides, pony rides, meeting the Easter bunny and Father Christmasan antique car show, arts and crafts festivals, and a witch’s house.

Linvilla grows 25 different varieties of apples on 20 acres of orchards. And the pick-your-own opportunity stretches to several other fruits and vegetables as well. And you can come and select a real Christmas tree as well.

8. Indian Orchards Farm

Location: 29 Copes Lane, Media, PA 19063

Nicely located, a mere 5 minutes from Media, PA and less than 30 minutes from Philadelphia, it has pick-your-own apples galore if you go there September, October, or November.

And they also grow pick-your-own blueberries, raspberries, peaches, blackberries, plums, nectarines, peaches, pears, figs, and vegetables such as peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, and zucchini.

While you’re there, be sure to get yourselves some freshly pressed cider!

9. Strites Orchard

Location: 1000 Strites Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17111

More than 100 years of family farming and still going strong -the Strite family has been farming since 1843!

Now it’s 300 acres long, and in addition to the farm stand, it also has its own bakery.

You can go there to collect apples in the great outdoors between early July through to early November. 

Other fruits they grow include apricots, blackberries, blueberries, cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums, raspberries, and strawberries.

10. Triple B Farms

Location: 823 Berry Lane, Monongahela, PA

Situated just 15 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, coming to Triple B Farms is a great way to enjoy the fresh country air and pick your own fruit.

Their pick-your-own calendar runs from July through October. They have strawberries, raspberries, flowers, apples (of course), and pumpkins. And there are even kids rides and play areas to enjoy, too!

11. Hollabaugh Bros. Inc.

Location: 545 Carlisle Rd, Biglerville PA 17307

Just 10 minutes from Historic Gettysburg, PA, Hollabaugh Bros. Inc. is a family owned and operated farm with a fabulous retail farm market. And picking your own is unjust one of the many family events they hold there.

If apple picking is your main thing, you can expect to find the varieties McIntosh, Jonagold, Fuji, Red Delicious, Granny Smith and Goldrush and more.

They also offer visitors to pick the likes of blueberries and pumpkins, and to cut their own flowers. And for even more fun, the kids get to do an orchard scavenger hunt!

12. Apple Castle

Location: 277 State Route 18, New Wilmington, PA 16142

This is a very long standing orchard that goes as far back as 1861.

They are open for apple picking from September through to October, and they have 16 varieties of apple there, including gala, pixie crunch, autumn crisp, crimson crisp, ozark gold, cortland, empire, golden delicious, cortland, red delicious, crimson crisp, jonagold, melrose, northern spy, pink lady, cameo and jonagold.

13. Susquehanna Orchards

Location: 560 Orchard Road. Delta PA, 17314

Susquehanna Orchards has been a vital part of Delta,Pennsylvania since 1922, serving the local communities with all kinds of fruit.

They have a particularly wide array of apples and peaches. And their farmers market offers even more local produce, including meats and preserves.

14. Norman’s Orchard

Location: 2318 Butler Logan Road, Tarentum, PA 15084

Norman’s Orchard is located about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh, and has been around since 1947.

The great thing about apple picking in Norman’s Orchard is that Most of the apples and pears grown there are considered heirloom, or antique, fruit.

These varieties have existed for hundreds of years and have a distinctive look and flavor that you don’t typically find in most grocery stores.

Their apples are available for picking from July through October, and they have a nice variety there.

They also have pick-your-own cherries and blueberries, and throughout the month of October, you can also buy freshly pressed apple cider.

15. Maple Lawn Farms

Location: 2885 New Park Rd, New Park, PA 17352

Maple Lawn Farms in York County, Pennsylvania is great during their u-pick season – they have apples, apricots, blueberries, cherries, peaches, and pumpkins to pick.

They also have loads of locally made goods as well, including homemade fudge, hand-dipped ice cream, freshly baked goods, and more.

They host various events throughout the year, and they even have a fun corn maze to run around in too!
