The blueberry season begins in July and doesn’t end until September making them great for a summer snack! Reenders Blueberry Farms invites everyone to come to join in on the fun at their farm with just a few simple rules.
1. As locations can change daily, please check with a Reenders Blueberry Farms staff before your U-Pick visit.
2. Choose the buckets that are given because our scales are calibrated for weight.
3. Take all buckets to the internal weigh station where a farm worker will weigh and package them.
4. They’ll give you boxes or other containers to transport your berries home in.
5. Any fruit that a farm worker points out to you in their fields is suitable for consumption.
2. Crossroads Blueberry Farm
A dozen different kinds of Michigan blueberries are harvested at Crossroads Blueberry Farm, and each variety is ripe for picking at a different point in the growing season.
The period of time runs from July to September (the Michigan blueberry season can vary depending on the weather).
Crossroads Blueberry Farm uses both hand-picking and machine-picking techniques to ensure the harvest is completed before the season comes to an end.

4. Hazen’s Blueberry Farm
Hazens Blueberry Farm has been in operation since the 1950s. Arthur Hazen bought the land in 1950 and spent endless summers working to turn it into what it is today.
Hazen’s Farm is a great place for some blueberry and raspberry picking. You are welcome to bring your own container for collection or purchase one of the trays for $1!
However, if you don’t feel like picking your own blueberries today you can also pick up some pre-picked blueberries!
You cannot visit Hazen’s Farm and not try their homemade ice cream and sweets. They use the fruit they grow on the farm to create some delicious treats that you have to try!
5. Jazz Blueberry Farm And Flowers
You can harvest your own blueberries at Jazz Blueberry Farm while taking advantage of the farm’s tranquil, family-friendly ambiance. You may either bring your own container or use one of their buckets or bag liners to take your blueberries home.
With just a day’s notice, you may also pre-order fresh blueberries from the farm.
You can also choose your own flowers, such as wildflowers, sunflowers, irises, zinnias, gladioli, crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths, and alliums.
The Jazz Blueberry Farm is one of the best places to spend a summer’s day in Michigan.
6. Palmer Blueberry Farm
Located in Whitehall, Michigan, Palmer Blueberry Farm is a real treasure. They are a family-operated farm that is home to some of the most delicious blueberries in Michigan.
The farm is open through July and August for you to come along and pick your own blueberries. With no booking required, you can just show up in the morning and expect a great day and fresh, tasty blueberries.
Palmer Farm prides itself on never using pesticides on their farms so everything you pick is coming from a clean, safe environment. However, it is highly recommended to give the product a wash before eating.
