If you are thinking about organizing a peach picking trip, then here are some great places to visit in the Bay Area to do just that. Check out the list below, and pick out your favorite place for peach picking!

Mike’s UPick Peaches

Brentwood, California

Mike’s UPick Peaches is a family-owned farm located in Brentwood, California. Every spring, they allow people from all over to come and pick their own white peaches, white nectarines, and various varieties of cherries!

There’s no need to make a reservation or pay any entry fees, so you can just swing by with your buckets and pails (although bags are provided) at any time the farm is open – you don’t even need to pay for parking!

However, it’s worth noting that pets and picnics are not allowed at this peach farm, nor are strollers and backpacks (to discourage any attempts of theft).

So, if you want an impromptu peach picking (see also: 11 Of The Best Peach Picking Spots In New Jersey)trip this spring, Mike’s UPick Peaches Farm is a great place to swing by last minute!

McKinney Farms

Brentwood, California

Another great farm to pick peaches in Brentwood is the MicKinney Farms.

This small farm has been passed down through the family for generations, and here they grow both white and yellow peaches (along with nectarines and apricots)!

Peach season runs from late May to early August so you have plenty of time to drop by and pick some peaches.

While other farms tend to grow a variety of different fruit, limiting the space they have for peaches, McKinney Farm tends to have a very bountiful orchard even though the farm is smaller than others on this list.

Cloverfield Organic Farm

El Sobrante, California

Cloverfield Organic Farm is one of the farms in the Bay Area involved in the Real Organic Project, which means that the farm does not use any harmful pesticides or GMOs to maintain a natural, healthy soil for growing produce.

The farm also allows visitors to take a basket and pick their own produce to purchase. There, they grow a ton of different produce including peaches, but you can also shake things up with other fruit including berries.

On the other hand, because Cloverfield Organic Farm grows so many different types of produce each year, they have years with less amount of peaches to pick.

So, it’s best you always contact the farm ahead to see if they have had a successful peach year this year – or if you may want to look elsewhere!

There are still plenty of reasons to visit Cloverfield Organic Farm as your go-to peach picking (see also: Pick Your Own Peaches: 6 Best Farms In Maryland)farm. The first is that this farm is very rustic with rough terrain for those seeking a more authentic experience.

Another benefit is the ability for private tours. You can turn up during opening hours during peach season (end of May to early August) or book ahead for a private small group tour so you can avoid the large crowds.

These tours last an hour and cost $30 for the entire group – but if you don’t want a private tour, then you can just turn up during the busy open hours!

Bacchini’s Fruit Trees

Bacchini’s Fruit Trees is a family-owned farm dedicated to growing all kinds of fruit! Each year they grow cherries, nectarines, apricots – and, of course, peaches!

Their orchards are bountiful and easily one of the best peach picking places in the Bay Area, especially if you want to shake things up by adding a few different fruits to the mix, like blackberries or cherries.

You can even pick some unusual fruit including olallieberries and pluots.

No matter what, Bacchini’s Fruit Trees have a good amount of peaches ready to be picked each spring.

However, it’s important to keep in mind that picnics are not allowed within the orchard and you cannot bring any pets or animals into the orchard either.

However, because the trees are so low, there’s no need for ladders and kids will be able to have an easier time reaching peaches – so it’s a great family location for peach picking(see also: Best Peach Picking VA: 12 Incredible Locations)!
